https://www.pinterest.com/gabbyshen/passion/ So this is what my weekend looked like.. It was an UNREAL R&R weekend. I hope you guys had an awesome weekend doing what you love or if it was a time to catch up on rest , I hope you got that too! Anyways so I had fun doing the Pinterest exercise because well I already have a Pinterest and I love using it, so finding pins wasn't too hard. I think each one depicts of what I can spend hours doing and finding new ways on how to improve on my hobbies. It's what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Collaboration& 30 second commercial

Power of Collaboration So for this one instead of just talking about collaborating I decided to give a small example of what it would look like to collaborate using my hobbies and working on this fun activity with my friends on a common issue. This wasn't an actual campaign, but it was so much fun making it! 30 Second Commercial Activity (part 1) 30 Second Commercial (part 2) Then for this assignment (I'm sorry it was a little late) I kept going back and forth with ideas and ended up resulting I couldn't make up my mind and yes I posted it late lol. So I ended up just going for it and I'm not sure if I did the assignment right. But the story line was there is this girl (which was me) who always watched people live their dreams and she wished that could be her until one day she watched a video and it gave her that little push she needed to go out there and live her own life instead of watching others live theirs. While also using her hobbies to go and chase her dr...

Video Blog Post

I feel out of all my 10 videos this one is by far the one that takes the lead. I know its not your I guess 'ideal video' on how this technically relates to my life purpose, but I do remember watching this video and thinking of how similar Tyler and I were. He's honestly my inspiration when it comes to creativity and photos/videos. His work ethic and his go getter attitude is so inspiring. I hope to travel the world like him capturing "once in a lifetime photos." But I hope to do if for a non profit organization or something. I feel when it comes to this you are always constantly growing as an artist, but also as a person.  I think being an artist requires to learn how to understand, but also to be heard. There's always a community when it comes to the things you love and I feel like with this there is always going to be a constant communication on your input on life's headlines, but also even personal. This kind of passion that he has is so contagio...

Source: Unspalsh                                                                                                I feel this picture definitely shows my love for pictures and I hope to reach all the corners of this earth to capture moments, make memories, and just meet amazing people. I feel that is one of my purposes and what I hope to do what I love as a job which I guess kinda goes with purpose. But most importantly I feel that through the adventurous spirit and capturing it, it also creates a bond and amazing memories with my friends, it just generates so much happiness, which is the ultimate goal. My whole life motto is pretty much love. I feel love is a big part of communica...

Find Your Life Purpose

When you really look at it and be honest with yourself or in this case myself I have to be honest. I am a Gabby Shen, a junior at UH Manoa, daughter, aunty, friend, sister, granddaughter etc.. I find that I enjoy to dance, play my guitar, talk to people (make friends), take pictures, make videos. I may not be at a super pro level, but I think I can agree along with the people who know me best that I found my niche in life. I do these things for my family and friends, and also for personal enjoyment. I like to use the talents/gifts I have been given to make people smile, to create memories using them, and for exercise and self-expression and other times as a way to blow off steam. But the ultimate audience would be for my friends and family. You know I have really have a solid family and some really awesome and amazing friends that all they do is want me to give my best and just to be me. Which is so cliche, but its honestly what they want. I think everyone can and will say that bec...

What's your Passion in Life?

Image
So I took the quiz and this was my result. I wasn't too surprised, but relieved. I do agree with my results because well I know my strengths and have even had others confirm it as well. I feel comfortable and excited, and just stoked on life talking to people. ITS WHAT I LOVE TO DO. I just love that time to interact face to face.  I think I can use my genuine interest in people and really get just be open to what people have to say in this class, but in general on social media. I think I have to apply my real life experiences to even my online experience. To be active, involved, and comment as I would in real life on a subject, opinion, or matter. I think it's all about mindset when it comes to communicating with others online, its defiantly more of an effort, and a different approach, but a doable one. As for the the turning my dreams into reality, would be using my major (aka Communications) to really be involved in this world, to be heard with what I have to say...

I Googled Myself and...

So I'm not going to lie, I think we all at a time googled ourself. Could've been just for fun or pure boredom. Anyways so I googled myself and I haven't done that since freshman year of high school. Back then the things that come up were my track records from track and field and I was involved in student government so my picture came up and under my name showed "Senior Class Officer." Today when I googled myself, I found out nothing bad per say but just my Instagram came up which I was surprised with, then my Facebook along with the other Gabrielle Shen's. Then my Pinterest showed, and all my past presentations from Prezi showed up as well. Those were all the things I found out about me, and nothing really showed up in images. I guess you could say I am pretty under the radar on the web world, which is kinda nice, but also kinda worry some because as a pursuing photographer I hope to get my name more out there and make my work I guess "be known."I ...
