What's your Passion in Life?

So I took the quiz and this was my result. I wasn't too surprised, but relieved. I do agree with my results because well I know my strengths and have even had others confirm it as well. I feel comfortable and excited, and just stoked on life talking to people. ITS WHAT I LOVE TO DO. I just love that time to interact face to face.

I think I can use my genuine interest in people and really get just be open to what people have to say in this class, but in general on social media. I think I have to apply my real life experiences to even my online experience. To be active, involved, and comment as I would in real life on a subject, opinion, or matter. I think it's all about mindset when it comes to communicating with others online, its defiantly more of an effort, and a different approach, but a doable one.

As for the the turning my dreams into reality, would be using my major (aka Communications) to really be involved in this world, to be heard with what I have to say, build relationships with people all over the world, and to be adventurous. My ultimate goal in life is to work for a non profit organization doing photo journalism. I love communicating through my photos and feel it really connects with people and a great conversation starter. I totally think I can use my strengths and my major to turn my dreams into my realities.

  1. Hello gabby, I think that communication is a key thing in any relationship. That's awesome that you are using your passion combined with social media to communicate to the world.

  2. Hey Gabby!

I'm curious what you think of the term "visual storyteller". I've heard it used a lot in regards to photojournalism. What do you think makes a good visual story?

    1. Hey I actually love that term honestly, and to answer your question.. To me personally everyone is so unique and so different, but we all communicate in some way type or form, we all have different customs, languages, etc.. so if I was to put out lets say a visual story about love and everyone can or is able to feel or get a general sense of what that story is I think that is a good and effective visual story.

  3. Hey Gabby,
Have you thought of using your degree in Communications to enter an internship after graduating? Maybe it would be possible to find a company searching for an individual that is passionate about communicating with others face-to-face and online. You may also be able to use your photography experience to boost your opportunities.

Hopefully this course will give you some great ideas! -No'eau

    1. Hi, No'eau! Yes I have thought about that, actually thinking about one currently possibly for th summer time. Ideally open to anything, but anything I can do towards social media/ photography that would be so solid. I am totally looking forward to this class to be able to apply what I am learning/doing.

  4. I enjoy communicating as well, but I don't really like "forced" communication online with people I don't know. I realize that's part of the class - its just not something I'm as comfortable with . I agree with you that it requires a little more effort, but it's doable. Have you ever communicated with people you had never met before? If so, did you ever met them in person later? Just made me wonder if you only communicate online, would it be weird to meet in real life at some point? Just a thought.
