Introducing My Personal Brand

We all have a story of how we got from point A to point B. But what about the in between? Well that’s me, I have this goal and I started having real goals so much later than everyone else. I am so distracted in this world that is so loud and trying so hard to tell us how we should be and how we outta act. But I want to just keep it real. I want to show you my good days and bad days. I want to bring the realities of being a college student. Let’s do life together and struggle, cry, laugh, etc. together. Let’s encourage one another and help each other grow, because there’s only one way to go from here my friend and that’s up.

The only desire I have is to get to share my real life and have someone say “I’m so glad I’m not the only one” comment appear in my notifications. Because let me tell you friend I have no idea of how to or where to start off in this life that has so many things that weigh us down. It all came like a big wave at sandy’s and I’m just trying here. And from a peers that tells us to dream big and aim for the stars (which I believe in completely) but can’t help and think how can they tell us that when we are stuck in a room for 12 years not having the room for creativity, we are told where to go, when to sit, when to go to the bathroom, and yet at the end left to make a big decision to go to some college that will change directory of  where and how we start off in our adult life. In the brochures they forgot to mention while trying to get an education that we would have to balance a job, doing taxes, paying bills, etc. We were just thrown into this world on how to figure everything out. We are in the somewhere in between of being kids transitioning into adults with independence which is and a beautiful thing, but they kind of let us out there to struggle. The education system has sadly somewhat failed us. But it’s not completely hopeless.

After that rant, I want us to be able to be real to help each other figure things out while having the time of our lives. Let’s share our sob stories, our victories, and everything in between.

SO here is my first piece of work.. to you. Meraki and that’s a greek word meaning to do something with soul, creativity, or love; when you leave a piece of yourself in your work. But I put my own pun/twist on it and added the MERAKILOUS kind of like Miraculous. Get it? If not don't worry! This will be my website/blog. But our community. Our tribe. Our Place. Now lets go do this thing together.
